about
WSWC is the first studio single of Magic Finger, with some more coming out soon, we all hope
This song is about someone leaving you to go somewhere far away, and how you are begging them to spend time with you and how you want nothing more than to see them, and they just won't see you, and how that takes a toll on your life. It is also at the same time about anxiety, the fear of leaving someone from the other side of the story, and how that dynamic can play out in a college setting.
lyrics
I'm reaching out to you, the weekends coming soon and I want to see you
I'm scared of leaving, and you don't care you're just screaming please just listen
I don't love the weekend, these days are slowly creeping by, it's almost summer time
I'm scared of seasons changing, I don't want these weekends fading by, before we've had our time
It's evening on a Friday, the TV's on but the colors red, I want to bleed it
I'm bed locked on a Saturday, the sun is up but the sky is gray I want to see you, how can I be with you
I'm fading in on a Sunday, the towers looming, trees are grooving, I can feel them, and they're screaming
I don't love the weekend, these days are slowly creeping by, it's almost summer time
I'm scared of seasons changing, I don't want these weekends fading by, before we've had our time
You won't come to see me, the California sun is bleeding out, you're feeling me with doubts,
I'm scared of seasons changing, I don't want these weekends fading by, and now it's summer time
